Mummies and Messes

More mummies today! Peyton wasn't as interested in some of these crafts, but Jack and I sure had fun.

Tissue paper mummy.

We changed things up with our finger painting by making "squiggly worm" pictures, painting with piece of yarn. Peyton did great following along with this one.

Jack on the other hand, tried to use the finger paints as shampoo and soap long before any made it onto the paper.

Finger painting mess.
So Jack's painting adventures ended with a bath.

Peyton wrapped up all the color and shape pages in his workbook. I wasn't surprised that it was all pretty easy for him, but I was impressed that he colored the boxes on the left page perfectly when they only had the name of the color written on them (in black and white.)
We love workbooks
Since Peyton wasn't feeling particularly crafty today, we filled up the afternoon reading. These are just some of the books we read. We found lots of opportunities to go back over "P" and "M," and he helped me read "Minnie and Moo."
